Though we may think that we live in a big place, the world is much more powerful. I like to make art because I think that showing the world how big something small really is, is important. When I’m taking pictures I don’t have a certain subject that I prefer to shoot. I always say ‘A good photographer can take a picture of anything’. For the most part, I like to think that, no matter what I’m taking a picture of it has the potential to be great.

While taking a portrait the most effective technique that I use is self taught. It’s called harsh low-key lighting. This is when the picture has sharp shadows to emphasize one particular part of the picture. I use this technique because I like to emphasize the most beautiful part of everything I shoot.

My work is different from others in the way that when I see something that I want to shoot I grab my camera and get the picture I see in my head on the first shot. This shows that the striking thing I see in my work is perfection. Perfection is the element I’ve always seen in my work. When my work is shown off other people exclaim that they see beauty and clarity.

As an artist my main goal is to show everyone that the little things in the world have more than one beautiful thing about them and that pictures, like books, are not to be judged by their cover. Pictures have layers, whether you have to look deep or just skim the top. Everything is beautiful enough to be photographed.
